I'd say logon and ask people there seem to be a healthy horde pop on both NA and EU times, usually more alliance but surprisingly balanced, I'd just join and see what guilds are forming it's still early and I'm not sure everyone has coalesced into guilds just yet, for example with /who I could see horde players running wailing caverns at both 10pm est and 10 am est so I think you'll be fine just playing the faction you want and trying to meet people.

All that sounds good to me I'm NA but I feel the sleep schedule comment, I want to raid earlier, last time I was playing on Everlook (before the cash shop) I raided 8pm-midnight est and it killed me. I'll be playing with a friend I'll join the discord and see if we can play at the same times. Also I'm probably going to play a Shaman.

Damn this all sounds perfect for me I'm probably gonna be playing a Draenei Shaman and early raids work perfect for me (except Sunday funny enough that day I'm only free after 7BST, but every other day 5BST works)

There's nothing wrong with taking your time you won't suffer in game from starting a month later say, but I would recommend playing on launch, just because it's a really cool experience of everyone starting together and as a more casual player myself I understand that a lot of them will zoom past me quite quickly but it's still an awesome experience that you don't need to have but I'd recommend.

This is my exact philosophy too, I only play on 1x servers because I feel when I zoom through leveling (like on retail) I just can't get invested nothing really feels right or like I should be there. As well I feel like the game has always been about the journey for me and removing or trivializing a large part of said journey ruins it for me.
