So now the AH pools all players so both on Horde and Alliance. That's cross-faction no?

Hello everyone. After posting something about Vanilla dungeons (above Sunken Temple) and all raids being locked i see that topic being closed... nobody was being rude, insulting others etc, it was closed only because it was discussed before, people can always try to discuss and look for ways to make it better to everyone. I'm a new user/player here, I have no clue about how many times it was discussed, to me that decision was weird and out of touch with the game and the values that Felmyst intends to have, such as immersion and the enjoyment of the journey. Felmyst can be great for sure but for now i will pass, I hope that everyone who stays around does indeed enjoy their path here.

If I may be honest here Rothie people some times don't know what they want. I see even on official forums people asking Blizzard for TBC realms, well, here it is, they have one right here, it's not official and it's free and from my understanding Gummy and his team are very good at what they do in terms of scripting and stuff. The issue here is that i think that even the WoW community at times don't know what they want. When the server went live yesterday i noticed people joining as asking or taking a bash at the server for being x1 rates... I mean are those people for real? Even I am new to the private server scene but i always knew what Felmyst would be about, x1 rates, no addons. Now i can agree that for these alone may prevent people from coming here, well that's their issue and nobody else, do they think that if Blizzard one day releases TBC again they are going to do it with x5, x7 or whatever rates? People need get real, If the game is good because it tries to recreate the TBC days of 2007 it's also good in 2024 with x1 rates. Maybe the issue about this is on the player side of things, if they don't have time to play TBC WoW with x1 rates and no addons maybe they should seek elsewhere or maybe they are in a time in their lives where they shouldn't play a MMORPG or search for something with higher rates, Felmyst isn't that. On the other hand i do believe that locking Vanilla dungeons and raids was a very poor decision if it's only based on the fact of preventing people of spamming gold farms. There are private servers out there in a worse state when compared to this one that are working in Wrath or Cataclysm but they have all the old content (Vanilla) open.

Hello Namath. If i can jump in here, i don't see it as a matter of difficulty but more of something that i can't fully understand and I am not alone on this, some of you share the same concern especially as you have said that there are servers that are running in expansions post Vanilla and people, because they can and it's part of the game, can do the old dungeons and raids.
-
Hello. You can discuss it here if you wish, i was just expressing my opinion as i find it weird for a server to have old content locked like it is here. We can discuss what we want here i think, as long as people don't use insults to express opinions, there is no need for that but I would like to know what you guys think about this topic and whatever you or anyone has to add. This decision about vanilla dungeons (above Sunken Temple) and raids being locked is turning me off to want to play here to be honest. When i look at some of the staff's topics here, they seem to emphasize the immersion, the journey that Felmyst aims to provide, I regret to say this but having content locked or cut out of it it's everything except immersive and the journey ahead.

I honestly think that it would.

Hello everyone. Don't take this post in the wrong way, It's just me giving my opinion about something that i think it would make the server a bit more rich in the sense of the goal that Felmsyt is trying to achieve. It is my hope that @Fanadin even can take a look at this, I'm not asking for an immediate reply but hopefully the team will reflect on this. Yesterday like many of you, I imagine, I started my journey here in Felmyst to experience the Burning Crusade... and no addons, to some this may be a deal breaker but at least these guys had the guts to launch a server that doesn't allow addons. This is supposed to be a full on immersive experience, a journey from the old world of Kalimdor to the Outland. For these reasons, immersion, journey, what saddens me is that there are certain dungeons and all the raids from Vanilla that are locked, If i may be honest i don't care if the reason is to prevent people farming those as a source of gold income, locking those is to cut out content from the game. I brought up this issue in the World Chat last night and one line of justification i was presented with was "This is a TBC server"... so this is the argument or justification that people give in order to support the locking dungeons and raids decision? If so, and i mean no disrespect, it seems to me a very asinine thing to say. If people wish to do so they can play World of Warcraft on Blizzard servers or in other private servers, that are currently on expansions post TBC, and get some iconic items for the sake of transmog or even mounts etc. I have a friend that plays Cataclysm Classic and he told me that they were doing Icecrown raid even after Cataclysm released. What I'm saying is that those locked dungeons and raids are Vanilla yes but they are still part of the game, Felmyst is aiming for a immersive experience, I understand that many will turn away from this because they can't use addons, I don't mind addons to be forbidden here, I don't miss them I even applaud this decision because yes it adds to immersion, it helps to prevent a race to the finish or a mentality where everyone is trying to optimize everything but PLEASE reconsider the decision to make those dungeons and raids available to us, so that we can also experience those without addons and also, since they are part of the game, having them in it adds to the sense of journey and to be immersed in it. If the big concern here is to avoid that people farm those dungeons and raids for gold and whatnot, well I may be wrong here but the forbidden use of addons already helps to make that process slower no? And if that is the main concern, or one of the concerns, why not make those dungeons and raids available to players once or twice per week? I apologize for the long post, since i started here today I'm really enjoying my time here, from forums to in game time, when i saw that Felmyst was not allowing the use of addons i admired the guts of it since so many of those addons facilitate many things in game, they add QoL features and so on and it's not everyday that we see a servr doing this so huge props to stand by that decision. Please consider adding the old dungeons and raids to the game, they are part of the journey after all.

Thanks and sorry for the question above again, please let me know if i can delete it.

Hello everyone. I realized that, as it happened in the past, Blizzard can always step in and try to ruin the fun by demanding that the server be shut down. Does anyone know where the server is located?

Hello @Dalzedur and thank you for reaching out. I have no friends coming here, the few of them that still play WoW are on retail and i have no interest in that, I want to explore the old world in WoW, if i want to experience Vanilla i can always go to Classic Era on Blizzard's servers i guess. What is saddening me the most so far about Felmyst is that we don't have access to all the dungeons and none of the raids. If we had those i think that this could be one of the best if not the best server out there only if it was for Burning Crusade, @Fanadin seems to be very competent and professional at what he does but i honestly believe that content shouldn't be cut out of the game, if one of the focuses of this project is immersion i do think that having those dungeons and raids in would add to that element.
-
I see, i can understand the decision for that, i respect it like i applaud the decision of you guys on having this server set up in a way that no addons are allowed, it will provide for a more immersive game and maybe even hard? I welcome a challenge, i think that addons have made the game and people so bland and with the rush to reach end game and optimize as fast and better as possible. Again i understand the decision for the locked dungeons and raids, it's not that that will make me quit the server, but i have to say that world building, immersion, lore, exploration is important in games like this and it's somewhat disappointing to see them locked as they contribute to the elements that i have mentioned. One final word or advice seeking, i have heard that the client used in TBC isn't super optimized or even in modern machines it can run somewhat poorly, is there anything that i can do to make the game to run smoother?
-
Again Fanadin I thank you, I have a lead administrator replying to me we don't see it every day. If I may ask this again or ask if i could have a more detailed answer, why the decision to have the vanilla raids closed/locked? What about the vanilla dungeons?

Hello Fanadin, first of all i want to thank you for reaching out. If I may ask this in terms of scripting content how will Felmyst be? I don't mean any disrespect by this but i am genuinely curious, If we will see NPC's having certain and unique dialogues during quests and so on? I have read a post where you mentioned that the raids for Vanilla will be locked, are there plans for those to be opened? Some of those raids seem to have certain unique rewards that one would love to take into TBC i think. Also, do you plan to have a discord or communication will be done here on the forums? Just wanted to say that i support your vision for this server and to have x1 rates for everything and also no addons, that's the reason why i have come here. Server is going live in 3 hours?

Hello everyone. I am completely new to World of Warcraft both the private server scene and to Burning Crusade, I started in Shadowlands a long time ago and that didn't even last long for me. I was reading through some old posts on Reddit some old videos etc and it seems that people really enjoyed, in World of Warcraft, the expansions called Wrath of the Lich King and also Burning Crusade. I'm really looking forward to try this version but i wonder if there are noticeable differences between the client for TBC and the one 3.3.5 used in Wrath? Do you guys think that the server will manage to capture a healthy number of players to make it feel alive and last long in time? About this subject, how long can we expect this server to stay online? For the veterans of the Burning Crusade do you guys think that people will gravitate more towards Horde or Alliance?
