  1. Addons will not affect your leveling speed much unless you speak of some addons that tell you where to go and what to kill in a specific order. The only two addons I was missing in my leveling journey is SellJunk so I don't have to manually sell trash items, and it would be nice to have an addon for Action Bars so that I can have my interface cleaned up and optimized. Right now all spells rank 1 and all macros have to be put on the action bars therefore they are always visible. I can't use all available action bars as well without addon (or I don't know how to bring more action bars to the screen).
  2. This sounds like a leveling challenge. Turtle WoW (vanilla server) implemented leveling challenges to make the leveling process more enjoyable, refreshing, and challenging with certain rewards if you get to level 60 for example: 1. PvP is always on (even after reaching max lvl) but you get 20% more experience 2. You can use only gear you craft 3. Hardcore mode, no trading no auction house allowed (trading only with other hardcore players) 4. Turtle mode - your experience is reduced from 2x to 0.5 but you get rewards every 10 levels. 5. You can level only with grey and white quality items. and others. Just mentioning them since you say your idea is crazy but actually, it has a real implementation on the mentioned server.
  3. What I meant is if I just joined the server I would appreciate starting from level 58. Right now since I have level 65 already it does not make sense and I am not expecting it, I am speaking from the new player's perspective. Yes, there is no evidence anything would change. You need to search for the TBC servers if you want to find that one, at least this is how I found it. I didn't get any advertisements or any recommendations on YouTube.
  4. One more comment here, such important details should have been listed somewhere in the server specification available to everyone. People should be aware since they are investing a lot of time to level the profession.

  6. I agree, but it depends on your goal. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't consider lvl 58 boost for new players to be game-breaking for me if I had leveled a character from lvl 1 if that approach would bring more people to the server. Life is not fair, you will never satisfy everyone. This is your server so it's your decision to make, whether you want to attract more people here and let them try your work or do you want to keep the server on the 30 people population base and one faction only. I would give it a try if boost 58 was enabled, the rest can stay as it is, no addons, nerfed content, no exploits etc. It's already a lot of grinding anyway.

Although I consider leveling an important part of the game, we need to face the reality that people who join the server are not new to the game, they don't have to level a character to experience the game + learn the class. I would probably go for the 58 lvl boost the same way it was done when TBC Classic was released. I like the fact that I could started on Outland already because my goal of playing TBC is to finish it's content. Twenty years ago (damn I am getting old!) I used to be PvP player, when TBC Classic launched it very quickly switched to WOTLK ,and servers were removed. I was so disappointed I invested so much time in the expansion I wanted to finish and they took it away from me. Regarding leveling and the server. I leveled the mage to level 65, where leveling a mage is generally very convenient (teleports, aoe grinding, etc.), quick, and as for now, I need a break because I am so tired of it already I need the rested bonus to load to full before I continue. I would agree with the approach of the server 10 years ago, but lots of us are adults with families, work, and other duties, we have very limited time to grind this game, and this game is all about grinding. How many times you can do the same content over and over :D? Even without a quest addon, I do most of the quests from memory. I started to play here because the server is challenging, but I think I will soon agree with the fact that I will never finish TBC content because the time you need to invest in it is extremely huge. I have 5 more levels to go and then hours of grinding dungeons to get a reputation etc. However, despite being currently super demotivated, I do confirm I received a lot of help from the guild at the start like 16 slot bags, gold for skills, tons of items to level my profession and items to level easier so it saved a lot of time in terms of leveling. I still receive that help whenever I ask for it. The community is very friendly, everyone is polite. We have a few new joiners whom we are helping right now as well. I can strongly ecommend the server if you have time to invest in it.
  8. It is not available. Admins emphasize that leveling your character from level 1 is crucial in your Warcraft journey. Watch their YouTube channel where they present the fundamental principles of this server. You will learn a lot. Some to mention: No multiboxing No addons No exploits known from Blizzard servers e.g.: Mage solo farming SP norm Mage solo farming Zul Farak No pay-to-win services No pay-to-win items No donations to the server No shop Experience rate x1 Classic Raids are not available. What I am not sure about is: Can you boost your character with a friend's help? Is AOE damage cap nerfed somehow in terms of the open world?
  9. Perspective depends on your current character progress. As a character level 62 it is more important to me to have the possibility to complete dailies daily and get some tokens which I can then exchange for some items + reputation where reputation is the most important from my point of view. For people doing Heroics / Raids, it will be more important to have a bonus of +5%. Maybe a solution to this problem will be a scheduled reset of the PvP objectives 2-3 times per day which would be also aligned with the raiding schedule so that we don't end up with a situation where in the middle of the raid a +5% bonus to damage is lost.
  10. Hi Felmyst! Is there anything we could do about PvP objectives? Since there is no horde we can't complete these quests and there are some nice rewards + reputation to be acquired daily. Especially that we are on a 1x exp rate makes them even more valuable. I am thinking about the following possibilities to resolve that issue: 1) Make the objectives capture bar to move slowly to neutral mode. I am not sure what pace that should be to make sure that these objective buffs can be properly used (e.g. 5% dmg buff in Hellfire). Maybe after capturing the capture bar will decay to neutral over 4h from being captured? 2) Reset objectives 2x times per day so it fits NA and Europe times. That way people from both time zones could complete objectives at their convenient time. 3) Provide us with some in-game commands to reset them on demand for the time being until we get players on the Horde side. We are just one guild as for now on the Alliance side so we can communicate internally and reset them on demand. These are just my suggestions. Maybe somebody else will be willing to comment on them or provide a better solution.
  11. I am surprised how regularly guys from our guild raid. I am impressed. I am still leveling and I had a few moments where I wanted to quit but I stayed here for the community and the support I am getting. I am looking forward to raid with them, even though leveling on x1 requires a lot of patience

  13. What are you loling at? Have we played on different Blizzard servers? I am referring to Classic TBC just to be precise.
  14. Hey, I've created an alt with mining. I am in the Elwyn Forest and remember that there were many copper nodes to mine on Blizzard servers in the mines where Kobolds are. Here, I can see 0 or 1 per mine. Is it intentional on that server? Another thing I noticed, is the location of nodes randomized? I mined one, and an hour later it didn't respawn in the same location. There was a new node a little bit further but in the same zone.
