Posted March 30, 2024 The Burning Crusade client offers the ability to right-click report a player in chat for spamming. Reporting a spammer notifies the moderation team. Falsely reporting an innocent player will result in a heavy penalty against your account. What is spam? Trolling or being annoying is not spam. Someone who is advertising something external to the game, such as selling gold, hacks, promoting third party projects, other realms, etc. is spam. That is not a comprehensive list. Use good judgement. To report a real player, who is breaking a different rule for something else, then please create a Support Ticket For additional information, please review our Guidelines. Thank you. 1 Share this post Link to post
Posted March 31, 2024 Repeated broadcasts of a message within a short period of time should be included in that list, imo, since they are not necessarily about advertising things external to the game. No one likes it when the LFG/LFM or guild recruitment messages get sent too repeatedly. 0 Share this post Link to post

Although there are various automatic systems in place that protect and filter chat from being bombarded, advertisements from RMT and similar should be reported in game. If a player is being excessively obnoxious to an extent that you feel it violates our rules then you may report them by creating a Support Ticket. 1 Share this post Link to post
