Posted July 12 Hey everyone, Fanadin here. Welcome to another insightful discussion, in this video, I delve into why maintaining the original leveling rate on our Skullcrusher is essential for preserving the true World of Warcraft experience. I emphasize the importance of the grind, the sense of accomplishment, and the authenticity that comes with leveling at the intended pace. I also highlight the social benefits of leveling, where forming lasting relationships through group quests, dungeons, and PvP becomes natural. Also, by banning addons, players will engage with the game’s vast content rather than skipping parts. Fondly recalling my favorite dungeons and zones, I underscore that the journey in WoW is as rewarding, if not more, than the destination. Enjoy the journey, embrace the grind, and discover the beauty of WoW as it was meant to be experienced. Looking forward to seeing all of you on July 21st! 8 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 12 I agree completely with your points on the social aspect of the open world. It's good that people can feel rewarded while leveling, it's not just about churning through and making alts. So hyped for the 21st and beyond! 6 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 13 No addons whatsoever...this is a dream coming true! I wouldn't be surprise if this ends up getting a nice population only for that reason alone. 2 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 13 I'm ready man! I can't freaking wait! I hope more like minded individuals join this. There is literally nothing like this in the private server scene or even all of WoW. The people who complain that "No addons = DOA" don't take a second to realize that there are TONS of alternative server options all of which allow addons. Lets try something different for once. 2 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 13 I think the narrator confused questie and restedxp. Questie allows you to see all the quest around the world which helps you not to skip them actually. It doesn't tell you which are good or bad. 0 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 13 I am convinced to give this a solid try with an open mind and see if we can create a solid community of people oriented towards building relationships, adventuring and enjoying the game instead of parsing and chasing numbers. I'll see you guys online! 5 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 15 This is my exact philosophy too, I only play on 1x servers because I feel when I zoom through leveling (like on retail) I just can't get invested nothing really feels right or like I should be there. As well I feel like the game has always been about the journey for me and removing or trivializing a large part of said journey ruins it for me. 1 Share this post Link to post

Still you end up following your questie arrow like an automaton most often than not, skipping entire zones at times because of that (I know - I've been using questie a lot! ). Granted, at this point a entirely addons-free WoW will be to unbearable to many (too accustomed to QoL stuff) but to me, and I'm sure many like me, it's gonna be so good. Just think about the immersion you'll have simply for the fact you'll need again to read the quests and figure out where to go! Or the interaction you'll end up having when asking others for directions and stuff or to share quests you found. One of the most upsetting thing for me in Classic was people answering "Google it" when you'd ask for info. Why on Earth should I google for info in an MMO?! Again, brilliant decision for me, can't wait. One thing I'd like to know I didn't find in the FAQs is the server location, so I know what latency I should expect. 2 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 16 (edited) I hope to see many players like me, who are tired of the modern instant gratification game design, and want to stick around and develop a community. Not just no-life power level to 70 in a couple days and then quit because there isn't 10.000 people online. Edited July 16 by Thalric 4 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 17 Isn't it worth considering at least adding a quest helper? Without this help, it will be unrealistic to gain experience for players who do not have much experience -3 Share this post Link to post

Hello Fanadin, there are some crucial Addons needed for the game like Threat metter, how should a raid gp manage without it? Or recount for example?? These two are needed. -2 Share this post Link to post

These two are needed. This is discussed more here. No addons are needed, people have just grown dependent on them. https://www.felmyst.com/forums/index.php?/topic/170009-felmysts-skullcrusher-the-first-realm-to-ban-addons/ 2 Share this post Link to post

I apologize for the inconvenience. 0 Share this post Link to post

HYPED for TBC! also, is there anywhere other than here on forums that people can interact ? i have some questions to other ppl, like is it possible to have Focus Frame in TBC without any addon ? (im playing hunter, so im interested in focus frame for my pet to track Mend pet etc...) i found other ppl posting some helpfull stuff regarding frame positioning etc... anyone knows any macros for increasing graphics to max in tbc ? some console editing stuff ? (sorry for going offtopic) Blizzard added support for focus frames for addons in TBC, but the base client focus frame does not exist before WotLK client. 0 Share this post Link to post
